What kind of bug is this ?

There is this real little bug that is NOT a gnat that flys right next to my ear. It buzzes in my ear and its really annoying when I'm trying to sleep. It has a longish sort of body with thin long wings. But it is really small. It flies too fast for me to catch and kill it. Please help !
