My cousin had 4 a total of DUI's, a head on collison. fleeing the scene and was only given 30 days!!!!?

In DC she had a very popular lawyer. She did have to do 6 months so a total of 9 for violating probation. There was also a girl in DC who killed a pedestrian and seriously injured another driving onto a sidewalk and through a store she only got 3 years in DC...Does this sound right ?
